Sara Maeglin, Attorney

Sara Maeglin is an Associate Attorney at Lowrey Parady Lebsack. Ms. Maeglin pursued a career in law not only because she enjoyed a good argument, but because she saw it as the best vehicle to protect the rights of women, the underprivileged, and those who have been discriminated against. As she progressed through college and law school, Ms. Maeglin developed particular interests in reproductive rights, domestic violence, and plaintiff-side employment law, culminating in a career where the protection and advancement of employees are at the center of her practice.

Ms. Maeglin grew up in the (often freezing) Chicago suburbs. After high school, she went on to the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Gender & Women’s Studies. After college, Ms. Maeglin immediately entered law school at the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder, Colorado. In addition to her participation on the law school’s Moot Court team and Law Students for Reproductive Justice, Ms. Maeglin excelled in her academics, ending her law school career in the top 15% of her class. Pleased with Colorado’s tolerable winters, Ms. Maeglin stayed in the state to practice after law school.

In her free time, Ms. Maeglin watches too much television; reads a good deal of Kurt Vonnegut and historical non-fiction; and obsesses over her two cats, Prisca (a tabby) and Zorro (a tuxedo).
