Verónica González es una abogada en Lowrey Parady Lebsack DeFazio, donde representa a clientes en casos de discriminación contra sus empleadores. En su práctica, Verónica lucha por la justicia en nombre de personas que han sufrido discriminación laboral, acoso sexual y otras injusticias durante el empleo. Proficiente en español e inglés, Verónica asesora a sus clientes de manera culturalmente sensible en su idioma preferido, asegurando una comunicación y entendimiento efectivos. Su pasión por la abogacía proviene de su experiencia enfrentando adversidades como Latina e inmigrante de segunda generación.
En la Universidad de Colorado, Escuela de Derecho, Verónica fue una abogada estudiantil en la Clínica de Inmigración y Defensa Penal, y completó pasantías legales en los varios campos de derecho. También ayudó a dirigir dos organizaciones estudiantiles, el Colectivo de Mujeres de Color y el Consejo para la Justicia y la Equidad Racial.
En su tiempo libre, Verónica disfruta escuchar y tocar música, asistir a conciertos en vivo, correr, aprender idiomas (actualmente japonés), y viajar por el mundo. Verónica atesora cualquier oportunidad de regresar a visitar familia en su segundo hogar, Cuenca, Ecuador.
In English:
Verónica González is an attorney at Lowrey Parady Lebsack DeFazio, where she serves clients in discrimination cases against their employers. In her practice, Verónica fights for justice on behalf of individuals who have undergone employment discrimination, sexual harassment, and other workplace injustices. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Verónica provides culturally sensitive counsel to clients in their preferred language, which ensures effective communication and understanding. Her passion for advocacy stems from her experience facing adversity as a second-generation immigrant Latina.
At the University of Colorado Law School, Verónica was a student attorney in the Immigration and Criminal Defense Clinic, and she completed legal internships in multiple areas of law. She also co-led two student organizations, the Women of Color Collective and the Council for Racial Justice and Equity.
In her free time, Ms. González enjoys listening to and playing music, attending live music performances, running, learning languages (currently Japanese), and traveling the world. Ms. González cherishes any opportunity to return to visit family in her second hometown, Cuenca, Ecuador.
